My name is Danielle and I'm a mom of two wonderful boys and a wife to a loving husband (too cheesy?). I enjoy spending as much time as possible in the kitchen creating healthy, tasty, savory, sweet meals and treats. I personally don't eat meat, but I do cook it for my family. Cooking, eating, dancing, and spending time with the family are my favorite pleasures in life. 
In my early 20s I was diagnosed with a heart condition that has lead to many, MANY heart procedures, hospitalizations, concussions, sicknesses, and defeat. In addition to my heart issues, I developed some serious stomach troubles too. This resulted in me gaining and losing mass amounts of weight every few months. I was in pain and uncomfortable with myself. I was put through test after test, including an upper GI, but the doctors could only make guesses as to why I was so sick. 
Recently, I gave up flours, grains, sugars, and high carbohydrate foods. Miraculously, most of my stomach whoas have disappeared! This new diet has given me hope and even more of a reason to be in the kitchen to try and create great healthy substitutes to our not-so-healthy favorites. Please let me know if there are any recipes you'd like me to try out.
